Wellhead Equipment and Well Control Safety System (Workover Safety Barrier Assembly)
Workover operations face pressurized wells, oil and gas wells, overflow wells, and sand-producing wells, making well control equipment of paramount importance.
1. Wellhead Christmas Tree Assembly
Comprising gate valves, a cross (spool), casing head, and tubing hanger, it is the main wellhead equipment of oil and water wells. Workover operations require coordination of opening, closing, disassembly, and makeup operations on it.
2. Workover Blowout Preventer (Simple BOP, Ram BOP)
Lightweight well control equipment dedicated to workover operations. During operations, it seals the wellhead and prevents kicks, blowouts, upward migration of oil and gas, and overflow of oil and water, ensuring the safety of operations on pressurized wells.
3. Wellhead Sealer and Self-Sealing Wellhead (Snubbing/Stuffing Box Type)
Automatically seals the annulus as tubing runs in and out during operations, preventing well fluids, oil, and gas from spraying out — the most commonly used safety component in routine workovers.
4. Choke Manifold and Flare (Flow) Line
Used for pressure relief, flaring, and choke-controlled pressure regulation, safely releasing wellbore pressure under abnormal conditions and smoothly controlling wellhead pressure.
5. Pressure Monitoring Gauges — Tubing Pressure and Casing Pressure Gauges
Monitor tubing pressure and casing pressure in real time, judging the downhole oil and gas activity and formation pressure changes, and guiding kill and pressure-control operations.
